Account & Data Deletion
Last updated: 29 September 2026
You can ask us to delete your Creatin Web account and the data associated with it. This page explains what gets deleted, what we have to keep, and how to make a request. We review every request by hand — nothing is deleted automatically — and we'll confirm your identity before we act.
Who this is for
This is for account holders of Creatin Web — business owners and staff who sign in to the dashboard or mobile app. If you are a visitor who sent an enquiry on a business's website, see "Website visitors" below.
Request deletion
Fill in the form with the email or mobile number your account uses, so we can find and verify it. A website owner can also start this from the dashboard under Settings → Danger zone.
What is deleted
When we action a deletion, we remove:
- Your account and sign-in details (email and mobile number).
- Your website and the content on it (text, images and files), if you are the owner and ask us to close the website.
- Enquiries, analytics, and other data tied to that website.
- Any connected Google tokens and your device push tokens.
When your account or website is removed, the linked records in our database are deleted along with it. Backups and provider logs may keep copies for a short time before they age out.
What is kept, and why
- Invoices and payment records — kept for 8 years because tax law (Income Tax and GST) requires it, even after your account is closed.
- Records we need to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation — kept only as long as necessary for that purpose.
We keep the minimum needed and delete it once the legal reason no longer applies.
How long it takes
We aim to acknowledge your request within 3 business days and complete verified deletions within 30 days, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Website visitors
If you submitted an enquiry on a business's website (a contact message, a booking, a quotation or an admission enquiry), that information belongs to that business, and we hold it on their behalf. Ask the business to delete it; you can also write to our Grievance Officer below and we'll help them action it.
Grievance Officer
If you have a question or complaint about how your personal data is handled, contact our Grievance Officer. We will acknowledge your grievance and respond within the timelines under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its rules.
